Saudi Visa for Indians Citizens

Citizens of the Indians wishing to travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia can apply online for a Saudi e-visa prior to their trip to Saudi Arabia. The Saudi e-visa allows Indians travelers to enter Saudi Arabia for tourism related activities, including Umrah pilgrimage except during Hajj season. The Saudi e-visa for British nationals is usually issued as a multiple entry visa valid for 1 year, allowing a maximum 90-day stay in Saudi Arabia, or can be issued as a single-entry visa valid for 3 months, allowing a 30-day maximum stay in Saudi Arabia. Indians citizens are eligible to obtain a Saudi visa-on-arrival, but it is always recommended to apply online for a Saudi e-visa prior to travel, in order to avoid airport lines and delays.

In order to work in Saudi Arabia, Indian nationals should apply for a Saudi work visa. Applying for the Saudi employment visa, first, requires the applicant be sponsored by a Saudi employer, who will apply for a Saudi work visa, on the Indian employee’s behalf. Indian applicants will then need to meet a set of Saudi job visa requirements, including an employment contract, invitation letter, medical screening, educational certification, among other criteria, in order to apply for the Saudi work visa.

The Saudi work visa will allow a 90-day stay in Saudi Arabia, after which Indian national should apply for a Saudi residence visa, in order to work and live long-term in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Visa Types for Indians Citizens

The most common types of visas for Indians

Tourist visa

If your transit is less than 12 hours, you do not need a Transit Visa. The transit visa typically allows a short stay of up to 96 hours.

Employment visa

The employment visa is for foreign nationals intending to work in Saudi Arabia. This visa requires sponsorship by a Saudi Arabian employer alongside an employment contract. Residence visa

Business visa

Hajj or Umrah visa for Australian citizens

The Hajj or Umrah visa is a special visa for Muslims undertaking the pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina. Receive approved visa

If approved, your Saudi visa will be mailed to you or can be retrieved from the Saudi Arabia embassy or representation office where you applied.
